Brick House By the Bay is a private guest suite on Dogwood Lane that gives you the rare combination of space, comfort, and genuinely local living. It's the kind of place people book for a week and start wishing they'd booked for a month.
Walk in through your own private entrance and you'll immediately notice this feels more like a furnished apartment than a guest room.
The primary bedroom is anchored by a king-size bed and lined with a large walk-in closet - plenty of room if you're here for a week, an extended military rotation, or a remote work stretch. The adjoining bonus room pulls double duty beautifully: use it as a second sleeping space with the comfortable daybed, set up at the dedicated desk and get serious work done, or just make it your reading room. The living area gives you real room to exhale - comfortable seating, Apple TV streaming, and HomePod speakers for whatever sets the mood.
The kitchenette is fully stocked for daily use: full-size refrigerator, two-burner cooktop, toaster oven and air fryer, full sink, and all the cookware and dishes you need. Morning coffee and reheated takeout are easy. So is an actual home-cooked meal.
In the bathroom you'll find a double vanity, a garden soaking tub, and a separate walk-in shower - a setup that makes unwinding after a long beach day or a long work day feel like it was designed specifically for that purpose. There's also a half bath for added convenience.
Staying connected is effortless. The suite runs on shared 5 Gbps fiber with high-speed Wi-Fi that handles video calls, streaming, and remote work without a second thought.
An EV charger is available if you need it. During your stay, the paddleboard is yours to take out, and the hanging hammock chair in the space is exactly as good as it sounds.

Shalimar doesn't show up on most tourist maps, and that's exactly why it's worth knowing about. It's a small, quiet waterfront community tucked between Fort Walton Beach and Niceville - and 4 Dogwood sits right in the heart of it, less than a five-minute walk from two bay beaches.
This neighborhood was made for slow mornings. Walk out the door and you're immediately on shaded residential streets where people are out on bikes, on foot, walking dogs. Meigs Park is just around the corner - green space on the water, a place locals actually use. The bay is calm here. Kayakers, paddleboarders, a boat or two drifting past. It's the opposite of Okaloosa Island energy, and depending on your week, that's exactly what you need.
The neighborhood is genuinely walkable and very bikeable. It's the kind of place where you don't have to get in the car for a morning walk, and you might find yourself not wanting to.
No smoking. No pets. No parties or events. Quiet hours 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM. No backyard access.
Guests have full private access to the suite - private entrance, dedicated parking, and completely separate space from the owners' residence. The suite is yours for the duration of your stay.

This property is professionally managed, so you'll have a dedicated point of contact for anything you need throughout your stay - from booking questions to day-of support.
The owners do live in the main house, which is connected to the guest suite by structure, but fully separate in every practical sense. The main residence uses the right driveway and entrance; your guest suite has its own entrance on the left driveway. There is no interior connection between the two. You will not share any common space, hallways, or entry points with the owners.
Your space is genuinely yours - private entrance, private parking, private stay.

While visiting Florida please be mindful we do have tropical bugs - mosquitoes, palmetto bugs, wood roaches, no seeums, etc. While we do actively treat for pests you may encounter a few critters during your stay. If the doors are left open, you will most likely allow these creatures in the home. As much as we’d love a critter free home sometimes it’s just not possible. Let us know if you’ve encountered anything that may alarm you!

For your comfort and peace of mind, our property is equipped with a Minut Smart Home Sensor. This small device monitors noise levels, temperature, humidity, and motion near the entry to help ensure a safe, comfortable stay for everyone
